American Cannabis Nurses Association
The American Cannabis Nurses Association is a national organization dedicated to expanding the knowledge base of endocannabinoid therapeutics among nurses. It was founded by a small group of dedicated nurses who saw the need for an organization to bring nurses together in a collegial and informational capacity to discuss the growing use of cannabis in medicine.
Nurses provide direct patient care, using a holistic approach that incorporates the biological, sociological and psychological factors of patients in their care. Hence, the public health considerations of cannabis use, the social and legal climate, and patient care issues are all directly relevant to clinical nursing practice.

Patients Out of Time
Patients Out of Time is a non-profit corporation of the Commonwealth of Virginia that educates all disciplines of healthcare professionals, specialty and professional organizations and the public at large about medical cannabis.
Patients Out of Time seeks members of professional healthcare organizations or other social organizations who are willing to take the lead in urging their organization to formally support patient access to therapeutic cannabis, and assists in providing educational tools and/or speakers in such efforts.
In order for research to be considered of merit to Patients Out of Time, it must be replicated and peer reviewed, and the results must be made public, scrutinized and validated. To overcome gaps in research, Patients Out of Time started a series of clinical cannabis conferences beginning in 2000, which meets bi-annually.
